South Africa registered a convincing 49-run win over India in the third and final T20I at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on Tuesday. Chasing a massive target, India lost early wickets and hence, Dinesh Karthik was promoted up the order at No. 4, which is the preferred spot of Suryakumar Yadav.

The veteran wicketkeeper proved his captain's decision of promoting him right by hitting a breezy 46 off 21 balls. After the game, while talking about DK's innings, Yadav jokingly said that his position is now in trouble while praising Karthik for playing the blistering knock.

Yadav said, “DK needed some game time, and I think the way he batted, my number 4 is in trouble. I haven’t thought much about it, but I am looking forward to it.”

Meanwhile, with another fantastic tournament against the Proteas, the flamboyant batsman has edged closer to Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan on the latest ICC Men's Rankings.

While Rizwan is on 854 points, Yadav is now on 838 points by slammed two half-centuries in the three-match series at home against South Africa.

Fans believe that the race for the No. 1 spot is so tight and Suryakumar Yadav can surpass Rizwan with one big score. The Indian right-hander could have overtaken his Pakistani counterpart with a big score in the third match against the Proteas but he got out for just eight runs.
