Following a streak of poor performances in the last session of the Indian Premier League (IPL), utility all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was forced to step down as the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the middle of the season. Then ‘Captain Cool’ MS Dhoni had to take over the mantle of leadership from him.

As per reports, things did not seem good in the CSK camp then. Jadeja was pretty upset after being removed as CSK skipper. It took a long frank chat with Dhoni to convince Jadeja to play for CSK again. Following the discussion with Dhoni, the air of misunderstanding between all parties was clear. Jadeja opened up to Dhoni and CSK authorities on what irked him and what he expects from the franchise in the future.

Notably, CSK will start their campaign in IPL 2023 against defending champions Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on March 31.

Jadeja is currently in red-hot form. He performed splendidly in the recently concluded series against Australia and it is expected that the star all-rounder will be able to extend his excellent form in the cash-rich IPL.

Though speculations are rife that IPL 2023 will be the last season for Dhoni, his former India and CSK teammate Suresh Raina has recently revealed that the wicket-keeper batsman may continue to play in IPL in the future depending upon his fitness and performances in the upcoming edition of the league.
