Veteran wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni has really defied the popular adage of- ‘Age is just a number’. The 42-year old cricketer has proved it many times during the ongoing edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).

In the latest instance, the former CSK captain smashed 28 off just nine balls including three four and two sixes to help his team garner a challenging total of 176 for six after 20 overs in an IPL game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Friday.

CSK were looking to be restricted on 160 at best in one point of time. However, Dhoni changed it all when he walked out to bat at the Ekana Cricket Stadium.

Numerous fans of Dhoni were amazed to see something extra-ordinary from the veteran batter who for the first time in his life smashed a six over the wicket-keeper’s head. The shot looked like it came from 360 degree batter like Suryakumar Yadav or AB de Villiers. However, it was Dhoni who executed the incredible shot.

Several fans even went on to term Dhoni’s incredible shot as ‘reverse helicopter’ shot.

Coming back to the match, LSG had eventually the last laugh as they beat CSK convincingly by eight wickets with an over to spare.
