Australia’s Glenn Maxwell has once again proved that he is one of the greatest batsmen of all time with his unbeaten 201 to script the greatest ODI knock of all time. Maxwell carried his team across the finishing line single-handedly despite gasping in pain and crawling on knees between overs.

His terrific performance when Australia were reduced to 91/7 will certainly remain the greatest innings in a World Cup match. Although Afghanistan played tremendously well, the contribution of Maxwell to his team was beyond remarkable.

From being barely able to get through the World Cup last time to becoming Australia’s behaviour, Maxwell has come a long way. Fans are now thinking, ‘Thank God, Max turned up for the World Cup’.

They started well in the 2nd half and played good cricket for 70 overs but the last 25 overs from @Gmaxi_32 was more than enough to change their fortune. From Max pressure to Max performance! This has been the best ODI knock I’ve seen in my life,” shared Tendulkar.
