Cricket is not merely a sport in India, it is an emotion. It is an emotion that keeps us going and a religion that doesn’t differentiate. The love for the game transcends all boundaries.

Considering the popularity of the game and the cricketers, the limelight also often falls on the better halves of these sports superstars. From Anushka Sharma to Natasa Stankovic, cricketers are married to some of the most beautiful ladies in the world.

However, the gorgeous wife of Indian-origin South African cricketer Keshav Maharaj will blow your mind with her beauty and good looks. An Indian and pure Hindu at heart, Keshav’s Instagram bio reads, “Driven by Passion, fueled by determination; Married to my beautiful Lerisha Maharaj. Jai Shree Raam, Jai Shree Hanuman.”

Both Keshav and Lerisha met through a common friend. Slowly their friendship blossomed into love. A Kathak dancer by profession, Lerisha often shares gorgeous pictures with Keshav and their outings. Their Instagram pages are filled with lovey-dovey pictures.

For the uninitiated, Keshav Atmanand Maharaj, born on February 7, 1990, is an Indian-origin spin specialist for South Africa. He represents the SA national team in Tests, ODI and T20I cricket.

His forefathers hailed from Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh. However, they later shifted to Durban where Keshav was born. Currently, he serves as the vice-captain of SA in limited-overs cricket.

Apart from being a lower-order batsman, he is also a left-arm orthodox spin bowler. Keshav made his first-class debut in November 2006 only at the age of 16 and his Test debut was in November 2016 against Australia in which he scalped 4 wickets.

In 2017, he made his ODI debut against England. In the same year, he was named the International Newcomer of the year at Cricket South Africa’s annual awards.

Maharaj has also proved himself as a good lower-order batsman and has been the front-line spinner for the national Test team since his debut.
