Football fans definitely know no limits. Football lovers are known to go to any extent to watch their favourite team or star play the game. This has been proved once again as a fan recently went almost crazy to watch a FIFA World Cup match between Wales and Iran on November 25.

The jaw dropping incident was reported from a hospital in Poland's Kielce where the man reportedly underwent surgery on his "lower regions". He was under the influence of spinal anesthesia waist down.

The unnamed football fanatic reportedly asked the doctors if he could watch the match between Wales and Iran. The medics allowed him to watch the match on a TV placed in one corner of the operation theatre.

The picture caught the fancy of industrialist Anand Mahindra. "Hey @FIFAcom Don’t you think this gentleman deserves some kind of trophy…???" Mahindra said while retweeting the photo.

One of the users, on seeing the photo, wrote, "If you’ve ever watched a game with any real level of interest, especially a particularly close or intense one, you’ve probably felt better."

In the latest development in the FIIA World Cup played in Qatar, Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez saved two penalties to help Argentina beat the Netherlands in the quarter-final penalty shootout and set up a semi-final against Croatia.

Earlier, Croatia battled past tournament favourites Brazil 4-2 on penalties on Friday to reach the FIFA World Cup semi-finals following a 1-1 draw over 120 minutes.

The 2018 runners-up came through their second consecutive shootout after beating Japan also on penalties in the last 16.
