India’s most promising cricketer KL Rahul's performance on field has always been commendable but his show of empathy outside has innumerable admirers.

The swashbuckling batter has now won over the hearts of millions of fans by turning a savior for a young aspiring cricketer who is suffering from a rare blood disorder.

Rahul has donated Rs 31 Lakh for cricketer Varad, who needed urgent bone marrow transplantation. Thanks to Rahul’s benevolence, Varad is now recovering well.

“I am pretty much happy that with my little help, Varad’s condition developed. The surgery is successful and the lad is doing well. I am hopeful that he will soon stand on his feet and play cricket again to achieve his dream,” said Rahul.

“I hope my little contribution will inspire people to extend their helping hands to those who are in need,” he added.

Meanwhile, Varad’s family members have expressed their gratitude to the Team India cricketer who came to their son’s rescue as a Godsend.

“We express our deepest gratitude to Rahul. The transplant wouldn’t have been successful within such a short period of time without his help,” said Varad’s mother.

While Rahul’s act has been praised widely by his fans, Varad is keen to emulate him as his inspiration.

“I cherish a dream to play for the Indian team in future. Rahul bhai is certainly my inspiration,” he said.
