Netizens slammed Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka for humiliating captain KL Rahul in full view of the television cameras after the team’s humiliating defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) during a match of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

SRH restricted LSG to 165 for four and then chased down the target in just 9.4 overs with all 10 wickets in hand thanks to the blistering opening partnership of 167 between Travis Head (89 n o) and Abhishek Sharma (75 no).

Following the development, Goenka had a heated chat with Rahul who kept quiet most of the time.

Netizens were quick to pull up Goenka for his rude behaviour in public. Several fans slammed Goenka over various social media platforms by terming the act of LSG owner as unacceptable. Some of them were also of the opinion that KL Rahul must leave the franchise after IPL 2024.

“Even tho, i still feel he shouldn’t have done this infront of the cameras , but players arent accountable,” wrote a fan.

“This is the same man who berated @msdhoni and went to extent of calling names on then Twitter..@klrahul doesn’t need to play there. He better join #CSK,” tweeted another fan.
