Odisha boys were narrowly beaten by Bihar 15-17 in the nail-biting summit clash to finish runners-up.

Defending champions Odisha had to be satisfied with runners up finish in the Junior National Rugby 7's Championship in Uttarakhand. 

Odisha boys were narrowly beaten by Bihar 15-17 in the nail-biting summit clash to finish runners-up.

Earlier, Odisha drubbed Delhi 22-0 in a lop-sided semi-final to enter the summit clash. In the quarterfinal, Odisha thrashed Telangana by 59-0.  Odisha had blanked Assam 31-0 to enter the quarterfinals.

Altogether 27 teams from across the country divided in nine groups were locking horns against each other in the league round matches. Odisha was placed in the Pool-A alongside Assam and Tamil Nadu.

In the pool A league round matches, Odisha had got the better of Tamil Nadu and Assam by 56-0 and 34-7 respectively.
