Junior National Rugby 7's Championship: Odisha boys enter quarterfinals

Defending champions Odisha blanked Assam 31-0 to enter the quarterfinals of the Junior National Rugby 7's Championship in Uttarakhand. Odisha will face Telangana in the quarterfinals.

Altogether 27 teams from across the country divided in nine groups are locking horns against each other in the league round matches. Odisha is placed in the Pool-A alongside Assam and Tamil Nadu.

In the pool A league round matches, Odisha got the better of Tamil Nadu and Assam by 56-0 and 34-7 respectively.

In another development, the Indian Rugby Football Union (IRFU) tournament disciplinary committee dropped the Rajasthan team to play in the ongoing national championship due to overage issues.
