Team India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan continued to ignore head coach Rahul Dravid’s advice as he is missing from cricket for more than a month. The aggressive cricketer has not played competitive game since Guwahati T20I against Australia on November 28.

He was a part of the T20I and Test squads for the tour of South Africa. However, he did not play any games. Just before the start of the Test series, he pulled out of the assignment, citing personal reasons. However, he was found partying in Dubai. He also appeared on a popular television quiz show after taking the break which perplexed the fans, experts and selectors.

Ishan was expected to return to action in the T20I series against Afghanistan and T20 series England. However, the selectors decided otherwise and once again snubbed him. As per reports, the selectors were not happy with Ishan’s attitude.

However, India head coach Rahul Dravid rubbished the reports by saying that the left-handed cricketer will have to play domestic cricket first to earn a recall from the national team.

Following Dravid’s comment, it was expected that Ishan would make a swift return to the domestic circuit. However, he has yet to play a single game in the domestic circuit this season. On Friday (February 2), he missed his fifth Ranji Trophy game on the trot.
