Mumbai Indians (MI) replaced senior batsman Rohit Sharma with star all-rounder Hardik Pandya as the captain of the team ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Speculation is rife that Rohit is grieved over the decision and he may move to another team in the upcoming edition of the cash-rich Ieague.

Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have evinced interest in signing the Team India captain.

In a video on their official YouTube channel, LSG could be seen flirting with the idea of going for veteran batsman Rohit Sharma in the upcoming IPL 2025 mega auction.

In the video, the interviewer could be heard asking LSG coach Justin Langer which player would he sign if he could sign absolutely anyone.

“One guy I want? Hmmm... if I could have anyone.... who do you think?” Langer wanted the answer from the interviewer instead.

“We have most of our bases covered. But do you think you can get Rohit Sharma?” the interviewer weighed in.

In response Lager said, “Rohit Sharma? Hahaha. We’re going to get him from Mumbai... Well, you better be the negotiator.”

Notably, under Rohit’s captaincy, Mumbai Indians have won five IPL titles. After change in captaincy, all isn’t well at MI camp in the ongoing edition of IPL. With MI having a bad start in the tournament, newly appointed captain Hardik has to face boos and jeers from the crowd no matter which stadium he has played in this edition of IPL.
