IPL 2025: CSK to RCB match tickets appear on re-selling websites despite no official online sale

In a shocking turn of events, tickets for as many as fifty matches of the IPL 2025 (Indian Premier League) are currently listed for sale on prominent reselling websites despite no official release or sale from authorised sellers online.

IPL 2025 Tickets Go on Resale

Listings on the Viagogo website, currently feature multiple tickets available for resale, although at exorbitant prices. While it states that it does not have any tickets for the Kolkata Knight Riders vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru clash in Eden Gardens on March 22, it shows available seatings for the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians matches slated for March 23.

Ticket Prices Exorbitantly High:

For the CSK vs MI match at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, the website states that it has 86 available tickets that are ‘high in demand’ and ‘selling fast’. Notably, the prices for the same start from Rs 18, 755 to Rs 58, 536. Further, it also listed that the KMK Lower Zone: Lower Tier tickets for the same match ‘Sold 2 days ago’ for a staggering Rs 1,23,593.

In a similar fashion, tickets for the SRH vs RR match are listed for resale on the website starting from Rs 3,366 to Rs 30,545 for the Orange Army Lounge. While tickets for these events are now available online, the reselling amount is nearly twice that of the original prices.

It is worth noting that the official online ticket booking partner for IPL 2025 is ‘District By Zomato’. However, it has not released any clarifications on this matter so far.
