Team India’s veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has shut all rumors about wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson rejecting an offer to join Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Ashwin has pointed out the Fake News claiming not to quote him in a wrong manner.

Earlier, the social media was abuzz when a video from Ashwin’s YouTube channel went viral. However, Ashwin has now come to shut the rumours claiming it to be a fake news.

“Ashwin on his YouTube channel-Sanju Samson was approached by CSK as a captain which was nearly finalised. But it dint go through Sanju rejected their offer. Theres a definite possibility in future,” was going viral over various social media platforms.

However, Ashwin came forward by calling it a ‘fake news’ and shutting the rumours.

“Fake news! Dont lie quoting me,” wrote Ashwin on social media account X (earlier known as Twitter).

Earlier, rumours were doing the round on various social media platforms that Chennai Super Kings had approached the Rajasthan Royals skipper to join the Yellow Army. As per the rumours, CSK management thinks Sanju Samson will be an ideal replacement for CSK’s talisman MS Dhoni. However, after Ashwin’s statement the rumour has been put into rest.
