The build-up to the upcoming edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) has started in full swing. The franchises have already finalised their list of retained and released players. While there have been swings and turns regarding the transfers of the biggest names in the sport, some have been clear surprises.

After all the teams finalised their roster ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, it’s now certain about the budgets of each team at the auction table. Over the past years, some teams have chosen to make little changes to their teams from previous campaigns. However, a few others have gone on to shuffle their squads by making statement buys at the auction.

Now, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have the highest remaining purse of Rs 40.75 crore. They are followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) that have a total of Rs 34 crore left in their budget as they head to a very busy auction day on December 19.

Besides SRH, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are the teams that could go on a spending spree at the auction table ahead of the IPL 2024. KKR and CSK have Rs 32.7 crore and Rs 31.4 crore left in their budget respectively.

Notably, the IPL 2024 Mini Auction will be held on December 19, 2023. All the strategies and plans of the franchises will be implemented on the crucial date in Dubai.
