After losing their momentum midway, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are once again back to their belligerent best in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).

SRH gunned down a target of 166 against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in just 9.4 overs in Hyderabad on Wednesday thanks to blistering knocks by Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma.

Abhishek showed selectors that they may have made a mistake by leaving him out of India’s T20 World Cup squad. The 23-year-old left-handed batter hit an unbeaten 75 off just 28 balls against LSG.

After the match, Abhishek credited former India great Yuvraj Singh who played a huge role in his career.

“I think the hard work I put in before the tournament is showing now, thanks to Yuvi Paaji, Brian Lara as well and my father, who is my first coach,” said Abhishek.

In response, Yuvi shared a spirited message for Abhishek on the social media platform.

“Well played @IamAbhiSharma4. Be consistent be patient! Your time is around the corner! @travishead34 what planet are you batting my friend? Unreal!!! #SRHvsLSG #IPL2024,” tweeted Yuvraj.
