In a great news for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, his wife Vini Raman announced on her social media handle on Thursday that the couple was expecting their first child in September this year.

The explosive Australian all-rounder had tied the nuptial knot with Indian-origin Vini Raman in a Christian as well as Tamil ceremony last year just before the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Raman is a Pharmacist by profession.

“Glenn & I are ecstatic to announce our rainbow baby is due September 2023,” Raman wrote on her post on Instagram while announcing about pregnancy.

“It’s so important for us to acknowledge this journey has not been the smoothest or easiest. I know first hand how painful it can be to see posts like these wondering if and when your time will be. We send our love and strength to other couples who are struggling with fertility or loss,” she added.

Maxwell has made his comeback from injury at the ongoing IPL. The all-rounder was sidelined for most of last season after breaking his foot in a freak accident at home.

Maxwell has been in impressive form with RCB in the ongoing IPL. He has scored 330 runs at a strike-rate of 186.44 including four fifties in IPL 2023 so far. The swashbuckling batsman has scored a total of 2,649 runs with 17 fifties and a strike-rate of 157.3 in the cash-rich league so far.

Notably, Raman had come to India and attended some matches of IPL 2023 last month. However, she has recently returned to Australia.
