Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 12 runs in an Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai on Monday. In reply to CSK’s 217/7, LSG were restricted to 205/7 in the stipulated 20 overs.

Though CSK skipper Dhoni was relieved after the victory, the ‘Captain Cool’ was really concerned about his team conceding so many extra runs. CSK conceded as many as 18 extras including three no-balls, 13 wides and two leg-byes during the second innings.

Speaking about his bitter experience in the post-match presentation, Dhoni took a jibe at his bowlers and warned them with his sense of humour that if they don’t improve, then they should find another skipper as he will be off.

“In fast bowling we need to improve slightly. Our bowlers need to bowl as per the conditions during the match. What is important is to keep an eye as to what the opposition bowlers are doing. One more thing is they will have to bowl no no-balls or extra wides. Or they’ll have to play under a new captain. It will be my second warning and then I’ll be off. Only reason we have scored those runs is if the surface is nice,” Captain Cool warned in his own intimidating ‘Thala’ style.
