Chennai Super King’s (CSK) skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has started his practice for the Indian Premier League 2023.

CSK shared a short video of Dhoni taking part in a practice session ahead of the season on its official Twitter account recently. In the video, Dhoni is found playing a couple of drives in the nets. Fans erupted in joy as they cheered the return of ‘Captain Cool’ and shared their feelings over various social media platforms.

The wicket-keeper batsman will lead the franchise in the upcoming edition of the cash-rich league. Dhoni had handed the captaincy to all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in the last season of IPL. However, he was reinstated as the captain of the team following some dismal performances by the team. It is expected that this edition is going to be the last IPL for Dhoni.

“Our Friday feeling is surely unmatched!” CSK captioned the video.

Reacting to the video a fan wrote, “Goosebumps.”

“Waitingggg for seeing those mighty sixes againnn,” tweeted another fan.

“Please don’t say this as last season @msdhoni,” a third user commented.

Earlier, Dhoni was accorded a grand welcome by several fans upon his arrival at the Chennai airport earlier this week to take part in the CSK preparation camp.
