Fans across the globe know their favourite cricketer MS Dhoni as an accomplished wicket-keeper batsman. Dhoni bowling on the ground is a rare sight.

While Dhoni has played a total of 538 matches during his international career, he has bowled only 22 overs. He has picked only one wicket in ODI format. Though, fans have rarely watched Dhoni bowling during his international career, he has never bowled during his Indian Premier League (IPL) career.

CSK captain Dhoni is currently preparing for the 2023 edition of the IPL. During a practice session, Dhoni decided to roll over his arms. To make it more interesting for the fans, CSK edited the video and made it look like he was bowling to himself in nets.

The franchise posted the video on his various social media handles with the caption- “The Multiverse of Mahi”.

The video reportedly went viral within no time. It has garnered around 12 lakh likes and several comments so far.

Responding to the video a fan wrote, “Orange cap and purple cap holder in single video.” (sic)

“This year vintage MSD,” commented another fan.

“He looks like 20 years old boy,” commented a third user while praising Dhoni’s fitness. Another one asked, “Will Dhoni bowl in the IPL now?”

Though speculation is rife that Dhoni will retire after IPL 2023, his former India and CSK teammate Suresh Raina has hinted that the ‘Captain Cool’ may continue to play in the cash-rich league depending upon his fitness and performances in the upcoming edition.
