Fans and experts across the globe are eager and excited to know about MS Dhoni’s successor as the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

As per legendry batsman and former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar, star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja should be considered again as the captain of the team after the retirement of Dhoni.

“Jadeja struggled to handle the captaincy during the 2022 season of IPL. However, the experienced all-rounder has since made a strong comeback for CSK. I strongly believe that Jadeja should be given another chance to lead the team when MS Dhoni retires from the game,” said Gavaskar in a discussion that took place during the last match between CSK and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Lucknow, where rain caused a temporary interruption.

Notably, Jadeja was appointed the captain of CSK in the IPL 2022 season. Unfortunately, the season did not start well for CSK under Jadeja’s leadership. Eventually, the senior all-rounder stepped down from the captaincy due to the team’s dismal show. Subsequently, Dhoni was given the mantle of the team again.

Though several fans and experts are expecting that Dhoni will retire after IPL 2023, the veteran wicket-keeper batsman has so far confused one and all with his recent contradictory statements.
