Chennai Super Kings’ captain MS Dhoni is leaving no stones unturned in his preparation for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is spending long hours in the nets to get in the groove and all the bases covered.

However, it is Dhoni’s new muscular avatar with biceps that have caught the attention of cricket fans across the globe. A picture of muscular Dhoni from the nets recently went viral on social media and left cricket lovers awe-struck.

Several fans liked the picture and posted peculiar comments.

Responding to Dhoni’s new avatar, a fan wrote, “Mahendhraa Bahubali” (sic)

Another fan tweeted, “MSD = Muscular Singh Dhoni”. (sic)

“THE GOD OF THUNDER,” a third user commented. (sic)

Though speculation is rife that Dhoni will retire from IPL after playing the upcoming edition, former CSK batter Suresh Raina has stunned one and all by hinting that Dhoni may be available to play in the 2024 season of IPL as well. However, Raina has further revealed that Dhoni’s availability will depend on his form and fitness in IPL 2023.

Dhoni has been part of the CSK team since the inaugural IPL season in 2008 and led the franchise to title glory for four times in 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021. India’s World Cup-winning skipper, popularly known as ‘Captain Cool’, retired from international cricket in 2020. However, he still continues to play IPL and is an integral part of CSK.
