Explosive Australian all-rounder Glen Maxwell had tied the knot with his Indian origin fiancée Vini Raman, a week ago in Australia. However, the couple conducted the Indian wedding rituals in Chennai recently. The visuals of the ceremony have gone viral on various social media platforms.

After getting married in an Australian-style wedding last week, the couple had posted a photo on Instagram. However, the couple again decided to conduct two wedding ceremonies to honor the culture of both families as Vini is of Indian descent.

Glen and Vini completed their Indian-style wedding and the video of the ceremony has gone viral. In the video, both are seen exchanging garlands and participating in the 'Varmala' ceremony which is a popular ritual in typical Tamil marriages.

Earlier, the wedding card of Maxwell and Vini, which was printed in Tamil, also created a buzz on the Internet. The couple got engaged in 2020 just before the Covid-19 pandemic. Their marriage was delayed as the pandemic kicked in.

Maxwell's wife Vini hails from West Mambalam's Murthy Street, Chennai. But she was born and raised in Australia where she studied pharmacy. Her father Venkat Raman and mother Vijayalakshmi Raman had moved to Australia before her birth.

Notably, Maxwell has been retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) with a whopping price of Rs 11 crore for the Indian Premier League (IPL). As per RCB sources, Maxwell is expected to join the franchise soon following their Indian-style wedding in Chennai.
