The Rohit Sharma Army is all set to take on arch-rivals Pakistan in the crucial T20 World Cup 2024 match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York today. Cricket lovers across the globe are super excited ahead of the much-anticipated encounter.

Even though Pakistan has never registered a win against India barring the 2021 T20 World Cup match in Dubai, Indians fans are super nervous and hopeful that the Men in Blue will continue the winning streak.

However, there is a forecast for rain in New York in the morning, which could interrupt the fixture. Well, fans are praying that the rain doesn’t play a spoilsport. However, what happens if rain interrupts the crucial match?

As per ICC rules, in case of adverse weather conditions or other interruptions, an additional 90 minutes will be allotted to all morning and afternoon fixtures, and 60 minutes to all evening fixtures. Furthermore, in case of a shortened match, each team will have to complete five overs for a result to be declared.
There will be no reserve day for group-stage games.

Meanwhile, the toss and pitch will play a crucial role in the upcoming match as both teams had a contrasting start to the tournament. While team India outclassed Ireland to start the campaign on a high, Pakistan lost to co-host USA in Dallas in their tournament opener.
