The Rohit Sharma Army won all their six matches to make a spectacular entry into the semifinals of the ongoing 2024 T20 World Cup. Up next stand defending champions England, against whom the Men in Blue have a 4-2 head-to-head record in the T20 World Cups.

Interestingly, the two teams faced each other in the semi-finals of the 2022 edition with England later winning their second T20 crown. On the other hand, India last reached the T20 World Cup final in 2014, where they lost to Sri Lanka.

Ahead of the big game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 at the Providence Stadium in Guyana today, fans believe that three major changes should be made to help India avoid major heartbreak.

Virat Kohli: King Kohli’s poor form in the ongoing T20 World Cup has come as a shock for all cricket lovers who expected a better performance from him after the IPL. Kohli, who has been opening with skipper Rohit Sharma, has performed below expectations and struggled to score runs in this World Cup. Despite Kohli’s struggles at the top order, the team management has backed him up to open the innings. However, fans fell that Yashasvi Jaiswal could have done a better job than Virat as an opener. Fans would be devastated if Virat Kohli’s poor performance continues in the semi-final. Earlier former India batter Navjot Singh Sidhu batted for Jaiswal opening the match with Rohit Sharma with Virat Kohli slotting at number three.

Shivam Dube: After Virat Kohli, it is India all-rounder Shivam Dube’s poor form not making any important contributions to the team with both bat and ball. The left-handed batsman was supposed to make a big difference against spin but has failed to make any impact. Despite consistent performance in the IPL, his lack of effective footwork and ongoing struggles against pacers has been glaringly apparent. So, Shivam Dube has to buckle up and give his best for the team in the do-or-die situation.

Rishabh Pant: During the India vs Australia match, Rohit Sharma was seen shouting at Pant for a lethargic attempt while keeping the wickets. He fell short of a catch in the second over and was left frustrated. Rohit also could not keep his calm and shouted at him. So, Pant has to buckle up and give his best while fans are not too happy with him replacing the in-form Sanju Samson who played a tremendous IPL.
