India captain and Hitman Rohit Sharma has once again proved why he is the best. Under pressure, the cricket legend has stood up strong for the team and is performing well when the team needs him the most in the ongoing third Test in Rajkot.

After Mark Wood dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill to dent India’s start, Rohit Sharma stood strong like a rock to score his half-century while India approached towards 100 runs at Lunch.

However, a fiery bouncer from Wood almost rocked the Hitman after the ball hit his helmet. During the 10th over of the innings, Wood came up with a vicious delivery that rammed into the grill of Rohit’s helmet.

Fans were left in shock while Wood rushed to Rohit and enquired if he was all right. The delivery also left Rohit Sharma restless for a while until he found his foot back. However, the India’s run machine said that he was fine and continued with his batting.

Meanwhile, India had a rocky start with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Rajat Patidar cheaply falling early in the first session. Now, Ravindra Jadeja has joined Rohit and is equally solid at the other hand (till the filing of this piece).

Now, in the absence of Virat Kohli, high hopes are pinned on Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and debutants Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel.

Earlier, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat. While England won the opening Test, India defeated the visitors to level the series 1-1.
