Online booking for the first T20 international cricket match between India and South Africa at Barabati stadium in Cuttack will begin from June 1, informed Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Secretary, Sanjay Behera on Friday.

The tickets will be sold through the Paytm application.

Behera announced the date while addressing a press conference following a preparatory meeting held at the OCA office which was attended by Sports Secretary R Vineel Krishna and Twin City Police Commissioner Saumendra Priyadarshi.

Some tickets will be spared for sales through offline mode too at OCA ticket counters. The tickets in the offline mode will be sold on June 9 and 10, Behera said.

Team India is going to lock horns with the Proteas in the first T20I match of the series at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on June 12.

The visitors South Africa is scheduled to play a 5-match T20 series in India from June 9 to 19.

Notably, Barabati had earlier lost out from hosting India-West Indies first T20I tie of the three-match series scheduled to be played on February 15 in view of the surge in Covid-19 cases in India.
