Jasprit Bumrah
On a gripping final day of cricket at Lord's, a determined Indian side narrowly missed out on taking the series lead. Ravindra Jadeja's gritty half-century was well-supported by tailenders Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. Although their run contributions were modest, the 84 balls they faced collectively allowed Jadeja the freedom to resist and build an innings. Despite their efforts, it wasn’t enough for the visitors.
On Day 5 at Lord's, Bumrah shared a brief but crucial partnership with Jadeja and had earlier claimed a five-wicket haul in England's first innings. He added two more wickets in the second innings.
Following India’s close 22-run defeat to England in the third Test at Lord's, captain Shubman Gill was questioned about Bumrah’s availability for the fourth Test. The Indian skipper replied, “You will get to know about it soon.”

Notably, Bumrah, the former vice-captain, was scheduled to play only three Tests in the series. Having already featured in two, he is expected to play just one more match.
As England is leading the series 2-1, it is imperative for India to win the fourth Test to stay alive in the series. Hence, Bumrah playing in the next Test will be a lot more important for the visitors.
