Rishabh Pant likely to land in trouble
Team India aggressive wicketkeeper-batsman has returned to form at the right moment after scoring a brilliant century in the first innings of the ongoing first Test against England at Leeds.
However, Pant is likely to land in trouble following confrontation with umpire Paul Reiffel on Day 3 of the Test match.
As per reports, the altercation took place after Harry Brook’s boundary off Mohammed Siraj. Unhappy with the ball’s condition, Pant asked for it to be inspected. However, Reiffel found no issue with the ball and refused for the change. In response, Pant got frustrated and tossed the ball to the ground. The crowd at Headingley responded with boos following the incident.
As per sources, Pant could potentially face charges under two provisions of the ICC Code of Conduct following his altercation with umpire Paul Reiffel.
