Despite having a brisk start, visitors England were bowled out for 246 in their first innings against hosts India in the ongoing first Test match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday.

Captain Ben Stokes was the highest scorer for the visiting team. Stokes played an attacking innings of 70 with the help of six four and three sixes.

Stokes became the tenth English batsman to fall. He was cleaned up by Bumrah with a brilliant delivery from round the wicket, and it was missed completely by the batsman.

On the third of the 65th over, Bumrah got the bowl to angle into the stumps. Stokes stepped down the wicket and went towards the leg side. However, he was completely beaten with the ball, and it went on to hit the off stump, which brought an end to England’s first innings.

Stunned by Bumrah’s delivery, Stokes, who was playing ‘Bazball’ cricket, was found appreciating India’s premium bowler while returning to the pavilion.
