Iceland Cricket takes dig at Pakistan after 4 straight defeats in World Cup 2023 

Known for its hilarious tweets on social media, Iceland cricket has again come to the forefront by taking a dig at Pakistan following the latter’s loss to South Africa on Friday. After taking a hilarious jibe at England for their performances, it was Pakistan turn on October 27.

After a close contest, where Pakistan lost the match against South Africa, social media was flooded with hilarious memes. Iceland cricket also didn’t show any mercy on Pakistan and quickly expressed their views on ‘X’.

The Iceland cricket took to X and wrote: The 1992 World Cup finalists should leave his silly tournament and play tri-series with us. It will be good for the development of the game and get the statistics back in order. 

Apart from that, Iceland cricket has come up with suitable names of teams based on their performances:
India - undefeated excellence
SA - very strong, except when chok...we mean chasing
NZ - Iceland II on fire!
Aus - from zeros to heroes
Sri Lanka - beating those they can
Pakistan - mercurial as always
Afg - inspirationally brilliant, not yet consistent
Bang - too quiet to notice much
Eng - on a ticket to doom
Ned - they beat SA, enough said!

The defeat against South Africa was their 4th straight loss in World Cup 2023. With four points, they are placed at sixth in the points table. In fact, South Africa registered their first win against Pakistan since 1999. 

After scoring 270 runs on a tricky Chennai pitch, Pakistan bowlers kept them in the game by providing regular strikes, but thanks to Aiden Markram’s gusty 91, South Africa defied the odds and registered a nail-biting win against Pakistan in Chennai.
