Iceland Cricket creates internet storm by naming Pant as captain of 'IPL 2025 frauds & scammers' team

Iceland Cricket is known for creating controversies with blunt posts on its official social media handle. Recently, Iceland Cricket created a storm on internet by sharing a bizarre post on the ongoing IPL 2025.

As per reports, based on the worst performances in the current IPL 2025 season, Iceland Cricket picked a playing XI and an impact player and called it the 'IPL 2025 frauds and scammers team'.

LSG captain Rishabh Pant (Rs 27 crore) has been appointed as the captain of the 'IPL 2025 frauds and scammers team'. Another costliest buys in IPL history - Venkatesh Iyer (Rs 23.75 crore) has also been included in the team.

The 12-member team comprised five players from the Chennai Super Kings, two from Sunrisers Hyderabad and one each from Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants.

CSK's Rahul Tripathi and Rachin Ravindra were picked as openers, with Ishan Kishan and Pant completing the top-order lineup. Iyer accompanied overseas stars Glenn Maxwell and Liam Livingstone to complete the middle-order lineup, with Deepak Hooda, picked as the finisher.

The bowling lineup comprised one specialist spinnerR Ashwin and two fast bowlers - Matheesha Pathirana and Mohammed Shami. Delhi Capitals' Mukesh Kumar has been picked as the 12th man.
