Shepherd Unleashes the Storm

Shepherd, who dazzled in the IPL 2025 for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, put on a show with an explosive 73 off just 34 balls*. The highlight came in the 15th over, bowled by Oshane Thomas, which turned into a nightmare for the pacer.

Shepherd launched a brutal assault on Thomas in the 15th over, starting with a boundary followed by three successive sixes. After conceding a four on the second ball, Thomas overstepped and then delivered a wide, which kept the Free Hit in play.

Shepherd capitalized, smashing two more no-ball deliveries for towering sixes on the leg side before punishing a legal ball with a colossal 95-metre maximum - taking the tally to 22 runs off a single legal delivery. Iftikhar Ahmed compounded the misery by finishing the over with another six, making it 33 runs in total.

Kings Seal the Win

Despite Shepherd’s fireworks that powered the Warriors past the 200-run mark, the Saint Lucia Kings made light work of the chase. Ackeem Auguste starred with a blazing 73 off 35 balls, helping the Kings race past 100 in just 10 overs before sealing victory in 18.1 overs.

What’s Next

The Warriors will look to bounce back when they face Trinbago Knight Riders on August 30 at the Brian Lara Stadium, while the Kings return to action on Thursday against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
