WTC Final
Indian cricket team has brightened its chance of qualifying for the World Test Championship Final after beating formidable Australia in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Perth.
Meanwhile, former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has laid down a simple but surely a testing path for India to make it a three out of three final appearances.
According to Bhajji, (as Harbhajan is popularly known) if India manage to repeat their Perth heroics in the next game, they could qualify for the WTC Final.
“If they (India) win another game, I think India will definitely go into the WTC Final but it’s not important to reach there, it’s important to win,” said Harbhajan during a recent interview.
“India’s plan should be simple. Win the next BGT Test in Adelaide and then they’ll definitely reach the WTC Final, scheduled to happen on June 11-15 at the Lord’s Cricket Ground,” he added.
Notably, India are currently at the top of the WTC 2023-25 table. They have a total of 61.11 points percentage, with nine victories in 15 games.
