‘Hope he can play all formats’; AB de Villiers heaps praise on this Indian player

Sanju Samson is currently in the form of his life after scoring consecutive hundreds in his last two T20 matches for Team India. He scored 111 runs against Bangladesh in Hyderabad and smashed another ton against South Africa in Durban.

After he scored his 2nd back-to-back T20 century, social media was lauding Samson’s heroic effort with the bat.  From Ravi Shastri to Wasim Jaffer, everyone praised Samson who made it count after getting many opportunities to prove his worth in the Indian team. 

Speaking about Samson's efforts, South African legend Ab De Villiers also showered praise on Samson on his YouTube channel 

‘’Sanju has upped the gear in his game. I hope the selectors are watching this for all the formats. I want to see this guy play all the formats. I think he is someone who is really, really special, someone who can play all the formats in all conditions around the world. Something has clicked in the Sanju Samson world; whether it’s the coaching staff, I doubt it," De Villiers said.

“I am incredibly proud of the guy. I say proud because I do have a personal connection with him. We have been in touch for several years now. I have always been a big fan of Sanju Samson; I just love the way he plays, and I always want him to do well.’’

With those 2 centuries at the top, it is fair to say Samson has sealed the position as an opener for Team India in T20 cricket.
