With people becoming more and more aware of healthy food, sale of diversified food products made out of millet has increased at a stall set up on the premises of Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar during the ongoing FIH Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023.

Hockey fans are flocking to the Millet Shakti Cafe in large numbers to taste the healthy and tasty dishes made from millet during intervals between matches.

Different varieties of food items made of millet like chops, samosas, pancakes, podapitha, kakara, cakes, millet pasta, millet chowmin, pizza, pakoda, mixtures, among others, are in huge demand among hockey fans and those are selling like hotcakes.

As per official sources, the sales in the millet stall have crossed Rs 1 lakh since over last couple of days.

“Never had we expected such a huge sale of our millet products at Kalinga Stadium during the Hockey World Cup. The response towards millet-based food products is tremendous. These food products are rich in nutrients and people are gradually getting aware about its values and health benefits,” said an official.

The customers are also excited to relish so many varieties of yummy food items made out of millet available at the stall.

“I didn’t expect so many varieties of food items made out of millet to be available in the stall. I tried some millet-based food items for the first time and those are so delicious. I will taste those many more times and also tell my friends about those luscious items,” said a customer at the stall who happens to be a software professional.
