Mumbai Indians (MI)’s decision to appoint Hardik Pandya as the captain over Hitman Rohit Sharma has met with widespread dismay from cricket lovers all over the world.

From fans, commentators to cricket experts, Pandya has found himself at the center of criticism.
Social media is flooded with videos reflecting the sentiment of fans who are clearly unwilling to accept Pandya as the skipper of Mumbai Indians.

The outrage among fans is so much that they even booed the Ambani family, the owner of Mumbai Indians.

The Ambani family was visiting a temple when fans expressed dissatisfaction over their decision to replace Rohit Sharma, the five-time IPL trophy winner.

The Ambanis were welcomed with ‘Mumbai ka Raja- Rohit Sharma’, ‘Rohit Rohit’ slogans from angry fans.
Angry fans reactions left the Ambanis in disbelief and it was evident from their face expressions even as they tried to keep their calm on their faces.

While Mukesh Ambani managed to keep his calm, his elder son Akash Ambani and his wife could be seen trying hard to hide their reactions.

Well, this did not end there. Fans even booed Pandya at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium during the MI vs GT match and called him a ‘Chapri’. The crowd at Ahmedabad shouted ‘Pandya’ after a street dog ran into the stadium, leaving former England player Kevin Pietersen in disbelief.

“I have never seen any Indian player getting booed like they are booing Hardik Pandya. This is a rare happening,” said Pietersen on air during his commentator.

To top it all, veteran players like Anil Kumble, Ravi Shastri, Suresh Raina and Irfan Pathan have also taken a dig at Hardik Pandya on various occasions.
