With the excitement at the top, Grammy-winner singer and rapper Drake has placed a massive bet of USD 250,000 (around Rs 2.07 crore) on KKR.
The popular rapper is confident that his favourite team KKR will lift this year’s IPL trophy. The Canadian rapper, who is known for placing bets on various sporting events around the world, took to his Instagram handle to share a picture of the receipt.
This is the first time that Drake has placed a bet on any cricket match. Taking to his Instagram handle, he wrote, “Since @ovorajuju team is out, I am going with KKR for my first ever cricket bet. Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo.”
His post quickly went viral with fans joining him to wish KKR the very best for today’s match.
KKR currently has the top 19 points and easily reached the finale while SRH had a tough time to finish third in the points table despite showing good form in the initial games.
Talking about Drake’s betting, he has lost a bit of money including USD 2 million that he had placed on the UFC fight in 2022 between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira. While Drake had his bet on Israel, Pereira emerged victorious in the game.
However, his SuperBowl 2024 prediction was completely right as Kansas City Chiefs claimed a sensational victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
