It was a dream come true moment for World No.1 para shuttler and Tokyo Paralympics gold medal winner Pramod Bhagat when he received an extraordinary gift from cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar on Monday.

The Master Blaster sent the jersey which he wore on his 200th test match appearance as a gift to Bhagat through courier.

The t-shirt bears an autograph of Sachin with a message, “Dear Pramod, the entire nation is proud of you. Keep Shining!”

Elated over the gift, the promising para shuttler took to Twitter and wrote, “My adrenaline was running high while opening this gift sent to me by my idol @sachin_rt, he stole my heart yet again by gifting me the Jersey worn by him in his 200th Test match for India Flag of India , words are falling short. Thank you Sir Sachin Tendulkar for this wonderful gift.”

Earlier this month, Bhagat had a stopover at Sachin’s residence on an invitation by the legend. During the meeting, Bhagat shared the saga of his struggle and achievement with the ‘God of Cricket’ for nearly three hours.

“I won the yellow metal in Paralympics. The joy hadn't even settled when I got a chance to meet you. I was falling short of words as I couldn't believe that I was sitting next to you. Your kindness is heart touching,” Pramod wrote on his social media platform after meeting Sachin.

While Bhagat presented a racquet, which he used in the final against Daniel Bethell, to his childhood idol, Sachin reciprocated by giving him a T-shirt with his autograph and a copy of his autobiography.

Notably, Bhagat has over 45 international medals under his belt, including four world championship gold medals and a gold and a bronze in 2018 Asian Para Games.
