Former Pakistan star mocks Gautam Gambhir after India’s ODI series loss against Sri Lanka

India suffered a shocking ODI series loss on Sri Lankan soil for the first time in 27 years. It was a stunning result for the Men in Blue’s new head coach Gautam Gambhir who did not win a single ODI in his first assignment in the 50 over format.

In response, former Pakistan all-rounder Tanvir Ahmed took to social media to take a dig at Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir following the shocking loss.

“India team ka ODI series harney ka gift Gautham ghambir (A gift for Gautam Gambhir from the India team that they lost the ODI series),” Tanvir wrote on social media account X (earlier known as Twitter).

Moreover, the former Pakistan star also posted a picture of Sri Lanka interim head coach Sanath Jayasuriya and skipper Charith Asalanka after the series victory on social media along with the caption – “Next time india walon ko bolain gay achi team ley kar Ana (Next time we will ask India to bring a better team”.

Notably, after winning the T-20 series, India suffered a 0-2 defeat in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. The Men in Blue lost two consecutive ODI matches following a thrilling tie in the first encounter.
