Virat Kohli
Though Virat Kohli is fully fit and fine, he announced his retirement from Test cricket and as a result concerns were raised by several fans and experts.
Former India explosive batter Virender Sehwag has once again shared his opinion on Kohli’s recent decision to retire from the longest format of the game, stating that he believes the former India captain called time on his career in the longest format too early.
Kohli scored a cameo of 43 against SRH in IPL 2025 on Friday. The development further solidified Sehwag’s belief that the 36-year-old could have continued at the top level for at least another two years.

"Without a doubt, I believe he retired from Test cricket too soon. Given how well he manages his fitness, he could have easily continued for another two years. But ultimately, only Virat Kohli knows the true reasons behind his decision. Retirement is a personal choice, influenced by how a player feels, whether it’s due to fatigue or something else," said Sehwag.
"From my perspective, considering his performance and the energy he demonstrated, it felt like he had the potential to continue playing for another two years," he added.
