Hollywood fame Dwayne Johnson, known all over the world for his envious exploits in the world of wrestling entertainment and in American Football. But many might not be aware that The Rock is also a fan of a premier league club.

Recently during an interview to talkSPORT, the WWE legend who is now busy following release of his much-awaited superhero film Black Adam, confessed his support for premier league giant, Liverpool Football Club.

While Liverpool supporters would be delighted to welcome such a superstar in their fanbase, Dwayne's statement has sent fans into confusion.

Because The Rock had earlier confessed his love for another English club, that many would not be aware of. Yes, The Scorpion King had said that he supported 'The pride of Cheshire', Macclesfield FC, an association football club based in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England which plays in the Northern Premier League Division One West.

During his interaction, The Rock initially said that he loved 'The pride of Cheshire' when asked which club he supports, however when the interviewer said "Liverpool?" he replied "yes" and then yes again when asked "Liverpool fan".

The Rock's support to the Reds makes him one of the illustrious list of Liverpool fans that contain the likes of James Bond fame Daniel Craig, NBA legend LeBron James, Angelina Jolie and others.

Liverpool under the helm of German coach Jürgen Klopp has once again reclaimed its glory days. After winning its first ever English Premier League title in 30 years, the club has played three UEFA Champions League finals in five years while winning once. The club has once again become the most dominant force in European football with their pressing heavy metal football.

Meanwhile, Dwayne's latest movie Black Adam which released in India on thursday, a day ahead of its global release managed register a decent opening at the box office. While its day 1 numbers it grossed are lower than some of the same-genre superhero Marvel flicks, they are higher than the recent Bollywood movies. According to sources, Black Adam netted Rs 6 crore in India on Thursday.
