Did Team India cricketer Rinku Singh get engaged to Lok Sabha MP Priya Saroj?

Team India cricketer Rinku Singh is known for his aggressive batting. However, the diminutive batter is currently trending on various social media platforms as a post claiming his engagement with Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj has gone viral.

However in response, Priya’s father Tufani Saroj has clearly denied the rumours. He confirmed that the talks are on between two families but engagement has not been done yet. 

“Priya is in Thiruvananthapuram at the moment for some work and no, her engagement with Rinku Singh has not happened. Yes, the talks are on between the families, but the news of engagement is completely wrong,” said Tufani.

Notably, Rinku Singh hogged limelight in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) while playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He became very much popular after smashing Yash Dayal for five sixes in one of the matches and has not looked back since then. 

Rinku has played two ODIs and 30 T20Is for India so far. He has garnered a total of 507 runs in the shortest format of the game at a strike rate of 165.14.

Due to his superlative show in the cash-rich league, KKR have retained Rinku for a massive amount of Rs 13 crore ahead of the mega auction.
