Former Team India and current Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni will celebrate his 42nd birthday in July next month. Under the leadership of Dhoni, CSK registered a record-equalling fifth Indian Premier League (IPL) title last month after beating Gujarat Titans (GT) in the high-octane final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

After some days of the grand final, CSK posted a tribute video on their Twitter handle to their skipper Dhoni with the title ‘Oh Captain, My Captain’. The video summed up Dhoni’s journey in IPL.

The video has reportedly gone viral within no time. So far it has garnered around 27,000 likes. Several fans also flooded the comment box with amusing comments.

Moreover, the video also sparked rumours about the Captain Cool’s retirement from IPL.

Reacting to the video, a fan wrote, “If this is a prelude to his retirement, we should respectfully accept his decision and celebrate his all time illustrious career!”

“Thala stepping down from Captaincy?” another fan questioned.

Notably, the former India captain underwent a knee operation in Mumbai immediately after the IPL 2023 Final earlier this month with a wish to continue in IPL 2024. The veteran wicketkeeper-batsman played with an injured knee from the first match of this season, often hobbling while running between the wickets.
