Cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy starts new innings with intimate court marriage– See Pics

Popular woman cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy has tied the nuptial knot with her long-time beau and Karnataka First Class player Arjun Hoysala in an intimate court wedding in Bengaluru.

Arjun shared beautiful pictures of their court marriage and wrote, “Together we start a new inning (with love emojis).”

The couple can be seen overjoyed on their big day in the pictures. Arjun opted for a yellow Kurti while Veda looks her gorgeous self in a white salwar kameez. The two kept the affair very simple and private with just a couple of their family members and friends present on the occasion.

The two Indian cricketers got engaged in September 2022. They revealed the decision to tie the knot in a quiet court affair was to honor Veda’s late mother who passed away during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I chose this date because it is my late mother’s birth anniversary. It is to honor her and include her in the new chapter of my life,” said Veda.
She added, “I want this day to be special and always connected to me. This falls in a month when you’re not supposed to exchange garlands or conduct auspicious events or we would have had the proper wedding on this date. But in the future, when we celebrate anniversaries, it will be on this day.”

Fans congratulated the two and prayed for their new beginning.

“Congratulations to both of you and I appreciate the simplicity,” wrote a user while another user wrote, “I wish you two many more years of togetherness.”

A third user wrote, “God bless you both.”

Worth mentioning, Veda lost her mother Cheluvamaba Devi, 67, to Covid-19-related complications in 2021. Two weeks later, she lost her sister Vatsala Shivakumar, 42.
