Chahal's rumoured girlfriend RJ Mahvash reveals being cheated on by boyfriend

In recent weeks, radio presenter Mahvash has been at the centre of speculation due to alleged ties with Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. This follows Chahal's recent divorce from his ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma. On 'The Good Girl Show', a podcast hosted by Yuvaa, Mahvash candidly addressed these rumours, saying she is currently single.

"I’m very much single," she affirmed, voicing her challenges with modern marital concepts.

Mahvash revealed that she is not interested in casual dating, preferring instead to pursue relationships with potential for a long-term future. The interview took an introspective tone as Mahvash opened up about a distressing chapter in her life. She revealed that she was once engaged at 19 but was betrayed by her partner on three occasions. "He cheated on me not once, but three times," she recounted, discussing the severe impact on her emotional health.

Navigating Societal Expectations

Mahvash explained how societal pressures in Aligarh—where the traditional role of women often focuses on finding a husband—prompted her to remain silent after the first two betrayals. "The first two times, I stayed quiet, fearing badnami (disgrace). But how much can one tolerate?" she expressed, reflecting on the challenges posed by traditional norms.

The emotional fallout from this experience led to a crisis of self-confidence and a preoccupation with appearance. "You tend to think that he left you because the other woman was better," she admitted.

Overcoming Personal Struggles

This turmoil triggered panic attacks that required hospitalisation and medical treatment. Mahvash shared, "I was on injections, had panic attacks, and had to be hospitalised," underscoring the critical impact on her mental health and the complex journey to prioritise her self-worth over societal expectations.

Though the situation was profoundly challenging, Mahvash described it as a significant learning experience that ultimately strengthened her resilience and helped her reaffirm her self-value.
