Bhuvneswar Kumar’s 19th over 'curse' sparks meme fest on internet

After giving away 19 runs against arch-rivals Pakistan and 14 runs against Sri Lanka in the 19th over of crucial Asia Cup matches, Team India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar encountered another disappointing 19th over show against Australia on Tuesday. 

Bhuvneshwar conceded as many as 16 runs leaving just two runs for Yuzvendra Chahal to defend in the last over as Aussies chased down India’s 209 run target with ease.

In T20 ties, there’s something much more important about the penultimate over. While most tight matches end in nail-biting finishes in the last over, the fate is more or less decided in the 19th over. Indian captain Rohit Sharma has opted to rely on Bhuvneshwar in the last three crucial matches, but it didn't pay off.

Several cricket buffs have expressed anguish at Bhuvneshwar being unable to handle the pressure of the penultimate over.
