Shakib Al Hasan, the captain of the Bangladesh national cricket team triggered a huge controversy after slapping a fan. A video of Hasan slapping the fan was caught on camera and left social media users in shock.

The video has been going viral on social media with angry netizens slamming Shakib for being arrogant. The alleged video surfaced amidst news of Shakib winning a Parliament seat in the Bangladesh election.

In the viral video, Shakib can be seen surrounded by a huge number of fans for a selfie. In one instance, Shakib loses his cool and gives a hard slap to a fan. Shakib, who is known for getting angry on the field during matches, isn’t new to controversy. He became meme material after he timed out Sri Lanka batsman Angelo Mathews during the World Cup 2023 match.

While it was not immediately when and where Shakib slapped his fan, social media users claimed it happened at a polling booth. As the star cricketer arrived to cast his vote, he was surrounded by his fans for selfies.

Infuriated, the Bangladesh star slapped the fan after he allegedly tried to grab him from the back. While Shakib is being brutally trolled for his act, many others came out in his defense. He reportedly slapped the fan after the situation got out of control.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Shakib will continue his cricket journey even after being elected as a lawmaker. He claimed he would be able to balance his duties as a lawmaker and a cricket captain.

Meanwhile, Shakib is the only cricketer to have been ranked the No. 1 all-rounder in all three formats simultaneously by ICC.
