Pakistan as a cricket-playing nation has won many hearts with its inherent passion for the game. It has produced many greats like Imran Khan, Waqar Yunus and Saqlain Mushtaq among others.

However, one thing that its cricket players were never comfortable doing is, speaking English in front of the camera.

A similar incident recently caught the interest of the internet users when Pakistani batter Babar Azam had to reply to questions posed by the presenter after the team secured a series win (2-0) against the Netherlands with a match to spare.

In the three-match ODI series, Azam scored 131 runs in two matches with the help of two fifties at an average of 65.50.

Twitterati had a field day since Azam’s interview video soon went viral. While some reacted with hilarious memes, there were others who defended Azam saying his job is to play cricket and not speak english.

Check below how netizens reacted to the video:

One user tweeted, "No disrespect to Babar Azam, but it is the most funniest video, I have seen on Twitter today."

Another use Vaibhav Ingale said, "Even Sarfaraz used to speak better english than Babar Azam."

Twitter user Ayush compared Azam's educational qualification with Sachin Tendulkar and drew a comparison bashing the trolls; "We're judging players & human beings on the basis of fluency in speaking English and/or educational qualification now? Well, then... Babar Azam is graduate & Sachin Tendulkar is 12th pass. What does that prove now?"
