Former Pakistan pacer Waqar Younis has been trolled by several fans for his tweet ahead of India vs Pakistan clash in the upcoming Asia Cup.

Waqar’s tweet came after Pakistan star pacer Shaheen Afridi was ruled out of the mega tournament due to an injury. Shaheen has suffered a right knee ligament injury during the first Test against Sri Lanka last month and since then he didn’t take the field.

“Shaheen’s injury Big relief for the Indian top order batsmen. Sad we won’t be seeing him in #AsiaCup2022 Get fit soon Champ @iShaheenAfridi,” wrote Waqar after responding to PCB’s announcement about Shaheen's unavailability.

However, he was brutally trolled by the Twitteratis for his post.
Responding to Waqar’s post, a user wrote, “Match se pahle hi haar maan li.” “Can't believe offical account hai ye cheap mentality,” wrote another user.

Another user commented, “One Innings wonders Shaheen Afridi. Don’t forget Rohit Sharma hammered Shaheen Afridi in both Innings in Last Asia Cup #RohitSharma #AsiaCup2022.”

Notably, India will lock horns against the arch-rival Pakistan in the prestigious tournament on August 28. The Men in Blue, the defending champions and seven-time winners of the trophy, will be looking to retain their throne.
